Structural Interior Remodel – Ceiling Lift & Staircase Reconfiguration

For this residential remodel, TH & Max Construction executed a major interior transformation that combined structural work, layout changes, and full interior refinishing.

We began by carefully demolishing the existing ceilings and walls while supporting the load-bearing structure to ensure the safe removal of key framing elements. As part of this phase, the original staircase was completely removed to make way for a new, more functional layout.

Once the space was opened up, we raised the ceiling by nearly two feet to dramatically improve lighting and overall feel. New wall framing was then built along both sides to properly meet the new ceiling height and create clean architectural lines throughout the space.

The staircase was relocated approximately three feet and re-oriented in a new direction to improve flow and usability, requiring precise framing, layout control, and structural coordination.

After drywall installation was completed, we returned to deliver a full Level-4 finish throughout the affected areas, resulting in smooth, consistent surfaces ready for high-end paint. The project was completed with full interior painting, resulting in a completely transformed layout, brighter spaces, and a modernized structural design.
